The troop's first "road trip" for weekend camping was a visit to the U.S. Air Force Museum located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.  We stayed at Camp Cricket Holler, a small Boy Scout camp located only 15 minutes from the base.  The adirondack shelters at Camp Cricket Holler were especially nice since the troop didn't yet own any tents!
