Troop 868 participated in the annual parish picnic at St. Aloysius.  Scouts helped set up game booths, assisted as kitchen helpers, and helped with clean-up.  The troop also erected a rope bridge and staffed two other activities.  It was a long day and a lot of work, but it was fun and a great opportunity for the scouts, both Catholic and non-Catholic, to show appreciation to St. Aloysius for their sponsorship of our unit.

Andrew ties a lashing on one of the supports for the rope bridge. Assistant Scoutmaster Guzman tests the boys' work.
Dave (foreground) and Joe walk underneath as a young patron crosses the bridge. Alex holds a support pole as the boys set up a dining fly to provide some welcome shade.
Paul and Chris erect a rope barrier around an outdoor barbeque area James completes a lashing on a climbing tower as John, Tim, and Dave observe.
Jeff takes collects admission for the Astro-Jump. Patrick and Tim test out the Leap Frog game.
