Plants are delivered from a local greenhouse just prior to sale, so customers are assured of receiving fresh, healthy plants (versus smashed, broken, and/or wilted plants often encountered at various retail stores).  The troop offers "nursery quality" plants at well below nursery prices!

By submitting a pre-order with payment in advance of the sale, customers are also assured of getting exactly the varieties they want and are able to pick up their plants at their convenience during the sale weekend.

Plant pickup and a corresponding public sale are held each year on "Kentucky Derby Weekend" (the first Saturday in May and the traditional end of frost danger in this part of the country).  This means that customers don't have to worry about buying early to get a good selection then keeping their plants alive until time to plant.  They can pick them up, take them home, and plant them immediately!

Best of all, our prices are very competitive.  By eliminating distributor markup, we are able to offer plants of outstanding quality at lower prices than customers would pay for comparable quality at a nursery or garden center.  Rather than another "high price, low quality in the name of charity" rip-off, we offer our customers ABSOLUTE TOP QUALITY plants at competitive prices, so they truly get a good deal as they support our unit.
