On April 24, 2001, Troop 868 was pleased to welcome two new members from Pack 685 --- P.J. and Ben.  Both boys had earned their Arrow of Light Award, the highest achievement in Cub Scouting, and are now ready to begin walking the Eagle Trail with Troop 868.  Welcome aboard, guys!  And thanks to Cubmaster Maureen Dukes, Assistant Cubmaster BB McBride, Webelos Leader Buddy Sohl, and Webelos Assistant Leader Fran Freeman for all you've done to prepare these young men for Boy Scouting.

Scoutmaster Freeeman looks on as Troop 868's boy leaders show the new guys how to tie a square knot.  This part of the ceremony is symbolic of the way a troop operates --- older, more experienced scouts teaching younger fellows.
