Boy Scout Tyler grilled burgers as Boy Scout Brixton boiled the hot dogs. In the interest of time and to keep from scarring the ground, we used a propane grill --- something rarely done in Troop 868.
Everyone lined up for lunch. After all the Cubs and their families had been served, it was time for the Boy Scouts to eat.
Scouts Nicholas and Tristan poured drinks as Cub Scouts and their families came through the serving line. Troop Quartermaster Spencer obviously enjoying a conversation with Assistant Scoutmaster Mike Canchola.
A group of Cub Scouts from Pack 868 sat together on the grass to have lunch. After lunch, it was time for some casting contests in the open field.
Kenneth takes his turn at one of the casting contests as Boy Scout Andrew observes. Drew was out in the field placing tent pegs to mark the most accurate casts.
