Where does the Boy Scout badge get it's shape?                                                                   The fleur de lis shape of the scout badge is patterned after a compass rose --- the decorative north-pointing arrow on early maps.  It is meant to remind scouts to always keep their bearings and follow a straight path.

The Shepherdsville Community Center is a beige colored metal building with double glass doors located next to Shepherdsville Fire Station #2 and near the Shepherdsville City Works Department.  The exact physical street address is 176 Frank E. Simon Avenue.

Prior to the opening of the current Shepherdsville Government Center on Conestoga Parkway in July 2006, Shepherdsville City Hall was located in the front part of the building that still houses Fire Station #2 and the Shepherdsville Police Department was headquartered in a small building located between that building and the building currently occupied by the Multipurpose Community Action Agency.  Frank E. Simon Avenue is a one-way, single lane street that runs parallel to Highway 61 behind First Baptist Church.
